OMG!Thu, 24 Jul 2008, 12:25 PM

It is about the cutest thing in the world:

to come downstairs and find a sleeping kitty cuddling on top of a sleeping hubby, looking so peaceful together!

and to think about 10 minutes previously, the kitty was fighting his nap time, just like a 2-year-old!

Go hubby!! :)

Can you believe it?

Let me give you small recap...

First off, my bro and my husband survived their bike trip but because there was so much snow, they came back a few days early. Here are pics my bro took. Enjoy!

Secondly, my parents flew in on the 28th of June, a few days ahead of our Family Reunion over the 4th. It was lovely to have them here and I was glad they were able to entertain themselves while I was working.

Wednesday the 2nd was the official start of the Reunion and we had blast. There were 18 of us at one point -- only missing 3 people. Good turn out. We were up at the YMCA in Estes Park and they have a ton of activities to do, including archery, ropes course, and frisbee golf. Feel free to check our our pics! Don't miss some of my narly fireworks photos!!

After the Reunion, I had three days to prep/pack for a 6-day trip to the Northwest. I flew in for my friend, Lindsay, and her marriage to Ayo. Check out the pics from that adventure. We had a great time getting her hitched and loved having time to chill out with some friends while I was there too.

It's been crazy since returning from vacation; work has been inundating me with emails and campaigns that have to be sent out and I'm finally feeling caught up a week later. Whew! We are also moving office for work and I'm hoping for a smooth transition. Thankfully it's just to another suite down the hall, but I'm certain it will still be interesting.

We are 3.5 weeks away from heading to Tooele (too-ill-uh), Utah for a motorcycle track day. :) Yes, I'm actually going to try and get on my bike and get on the track. I finally have a bike that won't put me to shame! :)

So, that's the update for now and will post again soon!

According to IMDB...Mon, 30 Jun 2008, 3:19 PM

Hugh Grant's beloved film favourite Four Weddings And A Funeral has topped a new internet poll to find the best British movie of all time.

(A very good movie, I might add...)

The 1994 film, which launched Grant's Hollywood career, topped the poll, closely followed by Monty Python's religious satire Life Of Brian.

(A classic, of course...)

The romantic comedy saw off competition from cult favourites such as Trainspotting and the Bond blockbuster Casino Royale, which were awarded third and fourth places respectively.

(Both pretty decent... Ewan MacGregor in Trainspotting was excellent)

The top five was rounded out by Guy Ritchie's gangster directorial debut film Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

(Another great one...)

Also in the film poll, conducted by Virgin Media, Sir Anthony Hopkins shared the title of Britain's favourite actor with Sir Sean Connery and Dame Judi Dench was given the gong for best actress.

(All great ones to top off their lists...)

Day 6Mon, 16 Jun 2008, 9:33 PM

I don't even know where to start. Lots has been going on.

First, I'm on Day 6 of getting up just before 6am and walking 3 miles in less than 45 minutes. I started walking my particular route last Spring/Summer, but attempting it at lunch never really seemed to work out. It was super hot and never really appealed to me. Even though I don't love getting up at oh-dark-thirty, it's actually pretty nice to have the street to myself and "enjoy" the time to listen to music, but also to think about the day and anything else that comes to mind. It's a decent way to get my day started. :)

Second, I've finally done it! Sankey Designs, LLC is a reality!! Yep! Luke & I turned in paperwork about 3 weeks ago and we've been trying to figure out everything that we need to do to make the company actually work! :) Hopefully we can get our pricing packages set up and published soon so we can start making some money! :) Woo-hoo!

Third, Luke is headed to the mountains. He and my brother Paul are going to mountain bike a portion of the Colorado Trail in about a week and a half. We've been preparing for this trip for quite awhile and now it's kinda down to crunch time. :)

The biggest thing has been our small biz taking off... it's been zapping a lot of my time (espeically now that bedtime is 10pm) and requiring a ton of research. Pray for us - that we can get everything done and legal and stuff! :)

Until next time.....

Colorado Tornado!Thu, 22 May 2008, 5:40 PM

Can you believe that we had a TORNADO today? There's a video of some guy filming the thing -- apparently baseball-sized hail coming down in parts!

We had small hail at our house -- probably about the size of a marble. It was pretty dark outside, but that makes sense as the tornado was about 45 mins north of us. A little to close for comfort!!

Thankfully it's sunny outside, but Boulder County is still under a Tornado watch until 8pm tonight. How about that for something I haven't experienced yet!!

I've got a lot going on here in the land of Sankey-dom, but I will get a post together either later today or tomorrow... just get ready, it will be a long one.

Hope you have a great evening!!
